Do you know about the ancient Olympic Games?

The Ancient Olympic Games began in 776 BC in Olympia. There one event the 200 yards Dash. Only men could compete in the nude. The games were a religious festival. They celebrate every four years for the god Zeus.

In 391 AD Rome invaded Greece. Two years later the olympic games were stopped. In 1896 a French man re-started the Modern Olympic games. Four years later in 1900 women were allowed to compete. In 1936 there was the first time the games were shown on television then it became a worldwide event.

The Olympics are held in Rio, Brazil .The team that I’m hoping to win the Olympics is New Zealand

My Real Life Hero

A hero is a person who protects and defends other’s. Heroes can also save others when they are in danger or need help. Fire fighters, ambulance, nurses and doctors are all examples of real life heroes.

My Real Life Hero is my Mum because she works hard to always tries to pay off all of our bills.My Mum comes to parent interviews, she supports me in all of my sports at school and helps me with my homework.

I love my mum, she’s my Hero.
